Pronounced: (an-jel-i-kuh pa-chee-kar-pa)
Fast facts:
Angelica pachycarpa is an accent to a planter or within the landscape. Growing up to 3' x 1.5' with beautiful umbels of creamy white to light green flowers. Plant in soil with good drainage where it can receive full sun. This herbaceous perennial has a short-lived lifespan of approximately 2 years, but it will set seed and spring up again. Though it is classified as a perennial, we have observed semi-evergreen behaviors here in Portland, and rather than completely dying back, its growth slows and remains green for most of the winter season. Not yet well-known in many gardens, but its unique beauty and ease of care lend it to be a sound choice.
